Terms of Service
Last updated June 7, 2026.
Closed beta
Assessium is currently in a closed, invite-only beta and is provided free of charge. Access requires an invite code. Features and limits may change, and the service may break, lose data, or be reset while we improve it.
During the beta the service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. You will not be charged during the beta. Paid plans, and the terms that apply to them, will be introduced before any charges are made.
Use of Assessium
Assessium is an assessment workspace. You can generate assessments from your own material — upload slides, notes, PDF, Word, or PowerPoint files, or write a prompt, and Assessium drafts questions, options, answers, and marks for you to refine. You can also import Markdown, JSON, or raw text, edit assessments in the editor, publish public quiz links, collect attempts, automatically grade supported question types, review reports, and export to PDF, Word, and Markdown.
By using Assessium you agree to use it only for lawful assessment, teaching, training, study, or administrative purposes. You are responsible for the content you create, upload, paste, generate, publish, distribute, and export through the service.
Accounts and access
You can create an account with an email address and password (with email verification) or by signing in with Google or Microsoft. During the beta you also need a valid invite code to use the workspace. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity performed through your account.
Public quiz links can be opened by anyone who has the link. Treat published links, QR codes, and share posters as public materials and share them only with the intended audience.
Your material and AI generation
To generate an assessment, the files you upload and any prompt or text you provide are sent to our AI provider (DeepSeek), which processes them to produce a draft. You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload and process that material. Please do not upload confidential, sensitive, or personal information during the beta.
AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting all generated questions, options, answer keys, marks, and explanations before using them. Assessium does not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of generated content.
Assessment content
You must have the rights or permission needed to process any assessment content, course information, explanations, accepted answers, instructions, or related materials you add to Assessium.
Assessium may help generate, normalize, validate, grade, report on, and export your content, but you remain responsible for reviewing question wording, answer keys, scores, files, QR codes, and reports before using them for official decisions.
Participant and student data
When you publish a quiz, Assessium can collect participant names, optional or required participant IDs, answers, attempt timing, scores, and submission records. You confirm that you have a valid basis to collect and use that information and that your use follows any institution, employer, classroom, or privacy rules that apply to you.
If you invite students or other participants — including minors — to use a public quiz link, you are the party responsible for the legal basis, notices, consents, and instructions required by your organization or local law.
Fair use and prohibited conduct
- Do not use Assessium to generate, publish, or distribute unlawful, harmful, discriminatory, abusive, or infringing content.
- Do not upload material you do not have the right to process, or confidential or sensitive data, into generation.
- Do not attempt to access another user's workspace, assessments, exports, reports, or account data.
- Do not interfere with the service, bypass rate or usage limits, abuse public quiz links, scrape private data, or submit automated traffic that harms reliability.
- Do not use Assessium in a way that compromises assessment integrity, impersonates a participant, or misrepresents a submission record.
Exports, reports, and records
Exports are generated from the assessment and attempt data saved in Assessium at the time of download. Current export tools include PDF, Word (DOCX), and Markdown assessment files, CSV attempt reports, QR images, and PNG share posters for published quizzes.
Exports and reports may contain personal data or assessment answers. Store and share them carefully, and review them before treating them as official records.
Service changes and availability
Assessium may change as features are improved, added, limited, or removed. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, incidents, hosting issues, database issues, or provider outages.
Assessium may rate-limit, suspend, or block requests that appear abusive, automated, unauthorized, or harmful to the product or its users.
No professional or institutional guarantee
Assessium is a software tool, not a replacement for academic judgment, institutional policy, legal advice, or formal examination governance. You are responsible for deciding whether the product is appropriate for your assessment context.
Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Assessium is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost data, or losses arising from your use of the service, generated content, or exported materials. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where required, mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence still apply.
